In honor of Emily Sunshine

Donation protected
As many of you know, Emily Sunshine passed away earlier this month after a fierce battle with cervical cancer - and I do mean FIERCE. With her passing, Emily leaves behind her children,  Owen, 19, Caleb, 16, and Daisy, just 2 ½.

These incredible kids were the absolute joy and loves of her life and her biggest fear in leaving this world was leaving them behind. Owen is attending community college in western Massachusetts now, but hopes to transfer to UMass Amherst next fall. Caleb has had to leave his high school in western Mass to move in with Emily’s dad in New Hampshire to attend the local high school there. He has a love for Culinary Arts and leaves behind an advanced culinary program at his Mass high school. The family is hopeful that the school will allow him to do dual enrolment at his high school and the local community college so he can continue to develop those skills. He also hopes to learn to drive and get a job. Our ray of sunshine, Daisy, is a girly girl who loves pink, My Little Ponies, nail polish, and all the things that little girls love. No one knows what Daisy will grow up to love later in her life, but we do know she’ll grow up asking a lot of questions about her mom, and Emily's family and friends will be there to share everything we can with her.

A couple of fundraisers were recently held to raise money for Caleb, Owen, and Daisy, but not everyone was able to attend, and some folks have asked about other ways to contribute. Emily’s mom, Patti, has begun an investment fund for the kids' financial needs later in their lives and all funds collected through GoFundMe will be contributed to that account. We can never replace Emily in their lives, but we can try to help ensure they have as many of the experiences possible that Emily would have facilitated. Your contribution in any amount is greatfully received in love.
