The Haynes Family

Donation protected
For those of you that know our family, Emily posted this last night on Facebook under the Fire Department that resued them:

My name is Emily Troiani Haynes. Born and Raised in Wolcott. Graduated Notre Dame in Waterbury and WestConn. I live in Dickinson 1 mile from where you saw Interstate 45 and 517 south of Houston. My family and I were rescued Sunday pm. We put our girls in our fridge and floated them to the rescue jet skis. They came back for my husband and I. We waited on a bridge for a bass boat. We got off then on dry land. We walked to the City Hall. Friends crossed the low water and took us to their home. We have no home, cars and my school is closed indefinitey as is Home Depot where my husband works. HEB parking lot looked like it was Black Friday and the shelved 80% empty. What you are doing makes me cry. I am proud of you. Evacuated at 5. Levee and Damn bursed Monday am.

This is a photo of their apartment before they were evacuated.

For all my friends on facebook that know me and my brother Dom Troiani, we are setting up an acccount for my sister Emily Haynes and her family.

Emily, Daniel and their 2 girls, Erin & Ellen were devistated by Hurricane Harvey this past weekend.  They have lost their apartment, all their belongs, their vehicles and had to be taken out by boat to safety.  They are currently staying with some friends who have been kind enough to pick them up and bring them to their home for shelter.  My sister has no job to go back to, my brother-in-law will be out of work indefinitely although they did promise they would continue to send him money.  My older niece Erin is in college and I don't know when she will be able to return and my younger nice is in grade school and she will also be out indefinitely.  If any one of our friends can help by donating to the fund or send us gift cards that my sister can use it would be greatly appreciated.  They have already signed up with FEMA but we all know this is going to be a long road for everyone in Texas.

We live in Connecticut and we will be sending any funds to them so they can shop and hopefully try to get back on their feet.

Thank from Dom and me for anything you can do.
