Help Angela Get Her Car Back!

My amazing friend was horrifically injured a number of years ago in a domestic incident that accidentally sent her tumbling backwards down a long flight of stairs. She sustained severe injuries that required extensive surgery. Following a devastating divorce, she has been struggling as a single mom ever since to try to keep everything going. She is beautiful, a brilliant artist, kind, loving, and would give the shirt off her back, but she needs our help now.

Recently, after she lost her job, she was unable to keep up with her car payments. She contacted the lender for a deferral until she could catch her breath, and they gave her a verbal committment, but they failed to provide the necessary paperwork to confirm the deferral and then showed up without warning and took the only car she had.

We live in a small town that has no reliable public transportation options. She has great difficulty walking long distances because of her former leg injuries. God has just blessed her with a great new full-time job, but she hasn't started getting paid just yet and the job is several miles from home.

After consulting with a laywer and involving the State's Attorney General's Office here in WV, the lender has finally offered to give Angela her car back but they are only giving her two weeks to come up with $1600 to pay their fees and the next payment, which is due September 1. If she doesn't agree to their terms this week (I have since found out that she now has until 8/25/17 to commit to the terms), they will be putting the car up for auction.

If she doesn't raise the money this week, not only will she not get her car back, but she will have a repossession on her credit and it will be upwards of 5 years before she is able to buy a car again through a reputable dealership. If everyone gave just $20, we could raise enough money for her to get her life back on track.

She truly is trying to be the strong, independent woman everyone expects her to be...She is too proud to take help from others, which is why I created this fund for her.
