Ellen (Books) Emergency remodel

This is something I hoped I would never have to do, especially for a bad cause not a good one.
On Friday October 20 th my mom (Ellen) suffered a stroke. It has left her paralyzed on her right side and unable to speak.
She is in one of the best rehab centers there is in this area (Bryn Mawr Rehab) & and is making progress. Now on top of this being an extremely tragic event she was also caregiver for my stepfather (Nick) who has been extremely sick and on Dialysis for the past 5 years. Now he has been placed in an an Extended Care Facility which was a tough decision but a necessary one because he also is unable to walk, eat, live without constant care.
Neither mom or Nick will be able to return to the house they live in without major renovations. The house only has one bathroom which is on the second floor and everything on the first floor will need upgrading to suit their needs. We thought we may be able to take this on without extra funds but have realized that this will be alot more difficult than we once thought.
