Elizabeth Steinbacher is 42 years old, a daughter to wonderful parents, a sister to 10 amazing siblings, a mother to two precious children (3 year old Sarah and 4 year old Matthew), and the wife to an amazingly supportive husband whose faith is never ending. Her family is very precious to her, and she feels very blessed to be gifted with such wonderful people in her life.
She had the unfortunate task of breaking the bad news by telling them that her cancer was no longer in remission. Her year-long fight would have to continue.
This is her second bout with a tumor in her liver. It is inoperable and because she has Lupus; she is not a candidate for a transplant. The tumor was not visible at one point, but we recently received bad news that it is not only visible again, but in an aggressive active growth phase.
She has started chemotherapy treatment immediately, and will continue to fight this ugly disease as long as her body, mind, and finances allow.
We ask for your help. Any help you can give will be used to pay for treatments that insurance only covers a small portion of, and to help defray the expenses of traveling back and forth to Phoenix to the cancer treatment center for testing and treatments.
Chemo expenses are very costly, and insurance only covers a small portion of the total cost (15%), so they have to bear the brunt of the expenses on their own, of which most of their savings during the past year with the last rounds of chemotherapy and radiation treatments were depleted.
