Please Help Ellie: Medical & House Fire

Donation protected
Our daughter, Ellie, has a benign brain growth in the core of her brain, she has an autism spectrum disorder called Asperger's Syndrome (which is very uncommon in girls and women) is 100% hearing impaired in her left ear ... and has now morphed into a Bipolar Disorder NOS. In addition to her serious medical needs, we had a tragic house fire on Saturday April 5th 2014 and we are somewhat displaced and currently living out of town. Much medical attention is needed to get her stabilized and well again. Ellie is 23 years old and has many amazing talents and attributes well worth fighting for! The doctors classify her as "high Functioning" and on good days, it is very apparent. She can cook and bake up a storm, is great at research on the computer ... and is a very sweet and loving girl that craves a "normal" life.

Because Ellie has a "Multi-Dimensional" diagnosis, she is not a fit for our local hospitals and treatment centers due to her medical complexity. She requires a specialized treatment facility which means leaving the state and going to Texas. It has been explained to our family that there are few centers nationwide that are equipped to treat her, and none of which are covered by her insurance plan. We will be taking Ellie to the Lawlis Peavey PNP Center to assess ande treat her brian based disorder and brain growth in June.

We are a very close family with a strong faith and are asking for people to assist us with these needs. Please put Ellie and our family in your prayers and please pass this on to people you know. Once her medical issues are properly addressed and she is stabilized, the sky's the limit! Susan (mom) stays home fulltime to take care of Ellie and the family (and dogs) along with coordinating Ellie's medical appointments and drives her to whatever is necessary. Ellie currently volunteers at River Gardens (urban garden) each week and bakes bread/cooks in the kitchen for the CSA program for the community and would love to be able to do more! Any donations to the GO FUND ME account would be greatly appreciated. When all the dust settles, the family aspires to become active with making changes for individuals with mental suffering.

Please help us heal Ellie and don't underestimate her abilities!!
Thank you for your help!!
