In Feb 2018 I was compelled to take a mission trip to Kitale Kenya with Reaching Beyond Ourselves.  I raised funds to go on the trip and was grateful to exceed the funding which enabled me to take a full duffle bag size suitcase of socks and underwear for boys and girls.  We gave them all out to grateful mom's and kids. 

While there I met some amazing ladies in the Kipsongo slum, some amazing young girls who have worked hard to get educated and working towards careers and many more wonderful people in Kitale that we served. 

I am planning on returning to Kenya in July to help and serve more where needed.  One group I am serving are the ladies pictured in the photo.  They live in the Kipsongo slum and have started businesses making baskets and beads to sell.  I purchased several of the beads and brought them back and selling them with my books when I speak.  I am in business with these ladies and helping them make a better life for their families.  

Please help me return so I can provide empowerment and business workshops for these ladies and others.  I am also working on starting a Toastmasters club in Kitale which will enable people there to improve communication skills and have a place to connect with others and grow as leaders.  

This work is just beginning.
