EDUPRIZE Robotics Team 8513

The EDUPRIZE (Gilbert) VEX Robotics Team, team number 8513, participated in the Arizona VEX Robotics State Championships on February 28, 2015. There are over 200 VEX Robotics teams in Arizona. 52 were invited to the state competition. Our team finished 25th out of 52, but because of our teamwork with other teams we were selected by the 2nd seeded alliance.  We entered the 8 alliance team elimination bracket and needed to win 2 additional sets to qualify for the Vex World Championships.  We won the two sets we needed to and finished in the 2nd best alliance in the state tournament. This means we have qualified for the World Championships which will be held in Louisville, Kentucky on April 15-18!!!

Out of the over 200 Vex Robotics teams in Arizona only 10 teams earn an invitation to the World Championships. I am very proud that our robotics students, who are all 8th graders and 1st year robotics students, are one of these teams and we look forward to them participating in this amazing event. Being a rookie team we did not anticipate being fortunate enough to qualify for the World Championships.

We are in need of financial help to make this unbelievable season complete. We are asking for donations of any amount to help us reach our goal and compete in this best-in-the-world tournament.
