Edith's Closet Mission Statement
To Provide critically ill infants and toddlers of Eastern North Carolina care appropriate clothing that will return normalcy by softening the harshness of the hospital's environment.
When Edith was nine months old she was hospitalized for a severe infection that almost took her life. Her parents watched her suffer in an intensive care unit filled with unfamiliar equipment while covered in lines and tubes. After a week of watching their sick child, one day they returned from daily Physian Rounds to find Edith with painted toes and clothed in a summer dress. They cried with delight that she looked "more normal".
Edith's Closet is seeking donations to provide critically ill children and their parents the same normalcy while dealing with the most difficult and unthinkable times in their lives. Please help us on our mission.
