On Wednesday, December 27th, 2017, the Ebbs family suffered an unspeakable loss when their beloved patriarch Kirk passed away at 52 years old after battling stage IV lung cancer for more than three years.
Kirk and Dawn were married for more than 27 years and have four beautiful children – Reilly (age 21), Addie (age 15), Lilly (age 12), and Nate (age 10). Along with their energetic labradoodle Curley, the Ebbs live in State College, PA.
Kirk was an incredible man and a true American hero. A Desert Storm veteran, he never smoked a day in his life. Kirk tried everything to remain with his wife and kids, enduring round after round of chemo and grueling clinical trials. He continued working until just two weeks before his death to provide as much as possible for his family. Read more about Kirk in his obituary here.
Dawn is a former teacher who works for Penn State full time. With the loss of Kirk's salary, she is now a single mother facing a great deal of financial uncertainty. Contributions will go towards outstanding medical bills, funeral costs, and other necessities, as well as the kids' college funds.
