Hi.
My name is Niall Peel and I am asking for your help in the construction of Wheelchair Ramps. I have attached a photo of the blueprints in order to give you a better understanding of what my idea is.
It will be constructed with Polyurethane Wheels. They are the same wheels that Beach Chairs are made with and allow for all terrain transportation. I will also be using Wood as the main contruction material. Axels will be made with steel pipe and they will use 1in bushings.
The Ramps will be donated to CPW (Cerebral Palsy of Westchester). The idea being that the school can loan them out to familes if they want to take trips in terrain that is not suitable for normal wheelchair tires.
My brother has Cerebral Palsy and I know how hard it is for us to go on trips to the beach. Beachs don't always have the Beach Wheelchairs and when they don't it can mean that either my Brother doesn't get to go or we have to push through the sand as the tires dig into it. Somethimes we don't have a nurse to watch him during these trips so either one of my family members or I have to stay home to watch him.
I'm hoping to collect enough funds by July 15th, 2017. I want to allow time for the supplies to arrive and construct the ramps before July 22nd, 2017. Any extra funds that are not used will be donated to CPW.
