The Alice Smith PTO is asking for your contributions. Please help us to send all of our 6th graders to the beloved Eagle Bluff field trip!
Eagle Bluff is an opportunity for youth to develop their leadership skills and work collaboratively. Kids learn about nature while creating lasting friendships and connecting with teachers in a new and fun atmosphere. The challenges they experience bring them outside of their comfort zone and can empower them to strive for that same success in the classroom and at home.
This environment has proven to be a motivating experience for youth to excel in a non-traditional academic setting. Some highlights of this trip are learning about Native American culture, GPS/Compass exploration, Pioneer Life and a 30ft Ropes Course overlooking the Bluff.
Many families struggle to come up with the funds to send their kids on this once in a lifetime trip. In order to provide subsidized or full scholarships to every student who needs one we need your help.
Please consider donating what you can. Here are some of the costs associated with the trip.
Cost of 1 child's scholarship $125
Cost of evening snacks $300
Cost of 1 bus (round-trip) $1200
