I have been offered the AMAZING opportunity to travel to South Africa starting June 21st until around July 18th. I will be gone for a total of four weeks. The first two weeks I will be volunteering in the Cape Town township of Langa, an area that is underprivileged. Here I will be working to empower the youth through the arts, namely the performing arts, with an organization called The Happy Feet Project (http://www.projecthappyfeet.org/). Being a dancer myself, I know what power the arts can have on hope, confidence, and happiness. The last two weeks I will be travelling around the country. This adventure tour includes a full-day safari in Krueger National Park and surf lesson in nearby Mozambique among various other tours.
It has always been a dream of mine to travel the world. Now I get to make this dream come true and spread my passion for the arts.
The money I raise is going towards the overall cost of the trip. This includes my lodging accommodations, majority of my meals, and a few excursions. It would mean a lot to me if you could help. Anything does.
