DHS Band Memorial Day Parade in DC

The "Sound of Dutchtown" Marching Band has been invited to perform in Washington D.C. at the 2018 National Memorial Day Parade!   We are extremely  proud and excited about this wonderful opportunity however, we are in need of support of our community to help us get there.  The parade will be broadcast on an international stage for troops all across the globe.  The entire trip will include tours of the monuments and memorials, museum visits, the official "National Memorial Day Concert" on the West Lawn of the US Capitol (featuring the National Symphony Orchestra which is broacast live on PBS), and of course the opportunity to represent the state of Georgia on an international stage! 

As much as we would like all 110 band members to attend and have the experience of a lifetime, the $555 cost is steep.   All of our students work extremely hard on their craft and deserve this opportunity.   The dates for the trip will be May 26th-May 29, 2018, which means we have just a few months to make this a possibility.
