We are headed to Durban, South Africa on January 15, 2012 and while we will be visiting Noeleen\'s family and our brand new niece, we will also be taking time to partner with Gigal Assemblies to reach out to the some of the many poor families in Durban.
Durban has the highest poverty rate of all the major cities in South Africa with 44% of the population living without their basic needs of food, clothing, and shelter being met.
While we can only reach a tiny percentage of these people, we want to do everything we can to help with their physical needs and more importantly, their spiritual need for Jesus Christ.
We will be assembling packages of food and other household necessities once we arrive in South Africa and distributing them along with taking time to to pray with and share the gospel with these families. Scott will also be preaching and ministering on several occasions.
Please note that all donations received will go directly to help for families in need. All our travel and other expenses have already been covered by us personally.
