On June 5, 2018, I had a total knee replacement. Following the surgery all hell broke loose. My thyroid became over active and I loss 52 lbs within 8 weeks. During this time, my white and red blood cells continued to decrease. The standard range for your HGB is 13.0 -17.7; my blood cells have reached as low as 6.4 and they continue to die. As a result of the low white and red blood cells, I have received 14 blood transfusions and counting.
My bone marrow is not producing blood cells and now I have developed pre cancer cells that must be destroyed. The low blood cells causes low oxygen, making me sluggish, labored in breathing, and lightheaded. This condition has brought forth a swollen spleen called an infarct, ( A condition in which oxygen supply to the spleen is interrupted). This is painful and when eating, it gives me the feeling of being full. This is a very uncomfortable feeling that I deal with daily.
I am now in need of a Stemcell Transplant and without one my condition will become fatal and bring forth an Acute Myloid Leukemia ( AML) which is deadly. To treat and resolve this sickness, I will go through chemotherapy for 7-10 days to kill my immune system and pre-cancer cells. These 7-10 days will be crucial, overbearing, and will cause hair loss, weight loss, nausea, diarrhea, and discomfort. It is expected that I will be hospitalized for a minimum of thirty days.
My goal is to share my experience with the public in hopes of encouraging others, who may be going through this process or dealing with tough challenges in their lives, and going through life without Hope or without Faith in God.
I know my faith in God will see me through this transition and bring forth the victory in my healing. The goal is to bring others closer to God and give them a realistic account of what Faith in God will do for you. ( Mark 11:22-23) I believe God has placed this vision in my heart to share my experience with others for the purpose of encouragement, and to display Faith in action.
Medical coverage is indeed expensive and although I have coverage it will not be enough to cover all. As I mentioned earlier, I will be sharing my story publicly for the sake of others. This will be done through a professional videographer and professional photographer who will document the daily accounts of this major transition.
My sincere prayer and hope is that you will be able to assist me financially as I share my story and transition through this process. Your generous donations will assist me with the excess medical cost and the cost to share my story with others. Your help is greatly appreciated. I pray any donation your heart is led to give, that God, will multiply your seed sown.
