                              Help Save Aerial Escape

My name is Trey Player and I'm the owner of Aerial Escape. I'm a professional drone pilot and photographer. In 2012 I started Aerial Escape, UAV photography and video services. The company was founded and operated out of Arizona until the latter portion of 2017.

Thats when I relocated to Northern California to pursue a career in the UAV industry. At the time I was consulting for two drone-related companies as well operating Aerial Escape. Immediately after relocating to Tracy, CA (a little town about an hour outside of San Francisco) both of the drone-related companies experienced a change in funding. One ended up completely closing down (resulting in a complete loss of income from this source), while the other had to significantly decrease their budget allowance for our services (resulting in another huge blow to our income).

Now I'm not the kind of person who waits around for things to happen so I took action immediately and attempted to bring Aerial Escape back to life here in California.

I started researching other aerial companies in my area and found not only a lack of companies who offer aerial photography and video, but a lack of quality aerial photography in general in the area. I knew this was my key to success.

After realizing there was a good opportunity for Aerial Escape to grow exponentially, I revamped my website (aerial-escape.com) and started contacting realtors in the area.

My first aerial job came quickly, which was rather surprising being I ran AE in Arizona and remember the struggle it took to get the company off the ground (no pun intended). The date quickly approached for filming, and I knew there were batteries to charge and  mission planning to be done. I charged up my packs and pulled out my Mavic to make sure the software was up to date. Immediately upon powering the drone on, the camera started shaking left and right and there was an error in the app "Gimble moter overload".. This isn't my first rodeo with this drone. I've previously replaced three gimbal ribbons and one complete gimbal. It was at this point I realized there was nothing I could do to get this drone working in time to complete the shoot I had the following day. My first job in the city was cancelled due to faulty equipment. Not only did this hurt my pride, but my reputation and company name as well.

Now, I have no working camera drone, no way to replace it on my current budget and bills are stacking up fast.. I need help and I need it in a bad way.

By helping me fund this project, your contributions will go towards the purchase of a much more dependable drone, the DJI Mavic Professional and help me sow the seeds for my company, Aerial Escape, to grow.

I understand that the Mavic isn't exactly the best UAV to use for AP work. I chose that model because asking for the amount an Inspire would cost is far beyond what I would expect anyone to do, or what I would ask. The Mavic is enough to get me back in the air to cover a few small jobs in order to upgrade to a more capable rig.

As a thank you, I will offer anyone who contributes $300 or more a framed print of any Aerial Escape photos of your choice. You can view our photos on the Aerial Escape Facebook page, or at www.aerial-escape.com

Thank you for your contribution and your time. I hope to be a GoFundMe success story and a contributor to your fund one day.
