Dreams On Wheels Project

Hi everyone! My name is Nick Gilmer and I am a 28 year old paraplegic guy from Gladstone, OR , near Portland. It has always been my dream to one day race sport bikes professionally in the AMA road racing association. I have been working my whole life to get closer and closer to that dream. Went to tech school to become a motorcycle technician. Tried to meet all the right people involved in the racing world. Did all the track days in my local town I could. Saved and saved. Then one day, in the summer of 2012, I got into a dirt bike accident in the cascade mountains that left me paralyzed from the waist down and had to be life flighted out of the area. I for sure thought my riding days were over, and in that case, my life. Now, they have all this very cool tech out there to adapt my sport bike for me to ride again and even race! It is very hard to find work these days, especially in the chair, and who knows when I would ever save enough to start chasing that dream again. I need to start a new life and even a new career. I want to start chasing my dream career and become a pro racer in the AMA. Can you help me get closer to that Dream? It will take a good amount of money for me to adapt my bike and start practicing, and racing in the local leagues to earn points. I will appreciate it so much if anyone can help. It would be amazing to get sponsored, build my skills, and compete on a pro level with a good team. But I need to start somewhere. I think the willpower and soul is stronger than the body. Please help me prove that to the world....
