Project: Adopting Baby Anderson

Hi! We're Amber & David, welcome and thanks for checking out our page! We are a fun, loving, quirky, caring couple looking to change the life of a child and make our dream come true of becoming parents. We want nothing more than to have children of our own and we are wanting to expand our family through ADOPTION! It's been a tough road to get to this point but we know there isn't anything we can't accomplish if we want it bad enough, and this... this dream of changing the life of a child and being parents is more than anything we've ever wanted.

Our Road to Adoption....

My husband and I suffered the loss of our daughter due to a preterm delivery. I developed severe preeclampsia and HELLP syndrome which nearly took my life. The only thing we could do was deliver our baby girl just shy of 24 weeks. We held her in our arms until she passed away. It was discovered I have a blood clotting autoimmune condition called Antiphospholipid Syndrome. It was the root cause of our tragedy. We are now wanting to take the step to becoming parents again, however, after our preconception appointment with a high risk ob we are realizing our dream is farther out of our reach than we thought. I was told, "I have a better chance of living if I don't get pregnant." There is a 70% chance this will all happen again and 50% that it will be just as severe or more than the first time. The odds are not in my favor, for me to get pregnant and to risk my own life, the life of my child, and to put myself and my husband through that hell again is not something we are willing to gamble. Adoption is perfect for us on so many levels, the most important one being we get to give unconditional love and guidance to a child, our child.

We are well into our Home Study Process for adoption and we are pushing through it with great determination, though we still have quite a ways to go. We are just so excited to complete this step and will anxiously be awaiting placement.

We have been offically approved to adopt! All that stands between us and our baby is the right situation. We're so excited for what the rest of our journey will hold for us and can't wait for the day that we can hold our future baby.
