Intaba Paddle for Deaf Education

Donation protected
Dear supporters,

It has become official! Thanks to all of the generous contributions, Murdock Henderson will be able to venture to South America to launch his Intaba Paddle for Deaf education down the Amazon from Peru to Brazil, to set a new world record, and change the global perception of the Deaf community. You can follow his trip progress via a Garmin Satellite Communicator

(2007: Clinical pro bono work in Kwa-Zulu, South Africa.)

On July 29, Dr. Henderson will be pushing off the bank of Pucallpa, Peru to start his paddle down the Amazon to raise awareness to the conditions Deaf people endure worldwide. Deaf himself since birth, Murdock's trip will serve as a springboard for Intaba's overall mission: to bring education to the deaf in societies where they have been forgotten because they can't hear or be heard.

(Spring/Summer 2017: Hundreds of hours of training as part of preparation for Amazonas.)

Training daily on the Potomac River, the month-long Amazon trip is just the start, as the REAL work of the Intaba is yet to come: the building of schools in countries whose governments have failed to establish educational rights for deaf citizens. It is for this reason that a continuation of generating financial contributions is necessary. All contributions received from here forward will be used to support the legal and operational costs associated with these efforts.

(July 2017: One of the Intaba's corporate sponsors--GATOSK, a Deaf-owned business.)

Please continue to visit and share the posts on our Intaba Paddle for Education Facebook , where periodic updates from the trip will be provided July – August.

Lastly, but not least importantly, Dr. Henderson would like to express his gratitude to all of you, “From the bottom of my heart, I am eternally grateful to the assembly of supporters who have helped make all of this a reality."

(Father's Day 2017: Die-hard fans at home--Dr. Henderson's five children.)
