As many of you know, I have battled back issues for many years. 19 years ago I had my first and second back surgeries. I had injured it four years earlier and lived with the pain until it became unbearable. A third surgery followed seven years later.
Last November, helping my daughters with a project, I injured it again. Over the past six months, I have been trying to rehabilitate my back through exercise, chiropractor treatments, and spinal injections.
While these things have helped some, the pain has been steadily growing.
After much prayer with our church leaders, and consulting with my chiropractor and an industry leading surgeon, we have decided that I must have a fourth back surgery. As much as I did not want to have another surgery, I know that, in order to continue the work God has called me to, and to be able to effectively share the FatherHeart of God, this is the route we must take.
At this time, I do not have insurance coverage for this surgery. The estimated cost for surgeon, surgery center (much cheaper than a hospital) and anesthesiologist is approximately $20,000. The Lord has already provided for the MRI I needed to consult with the Doctor.
We are looking at having the surgery within the next two weeks. If we can pay cash before the surgery, there is a significant discount. We do not have the funds for this procedure. Joyce and I have been continually in prayer, asking the Lord for his direction. What we keep hearing is that God is faithful and will provide for this need. Would you be a part of that provision?
