Hi, i am raising funds for a Rugby Wheelchair. I play Wheelchair Rugby for Team Solent Sharks, based in Southampton. I was introduced to the sport in April 2013,... Since then its become my world, part of who I am. I am going from strength to strength, always pushing myself to play harder and be the best that I can be. I currently use a borrowed club chair, I am very lucky to be allocated my own to use but it's a standard, all disability set chair so for my own comfort and ability, i do need to be fitted with my own.

During last season i competed in the SuperSeries 1,2&3 and the National Championships, it was at SuperSeries 3 that i won the award for Most Valuable Player - This was the absolute hilight of my first full season :)

I lost my leg above the knee 14 years ago. From being a sporting energetic youngster, i was suddenly burst into a life of watching from the sidelines. I came to terms quite quickly with how life had to be but there was deep envy inside when watching people do the things that i once did. After over a decade in remission from the CRPS/RSD that took my left leg, it aggressively attacked my right leg. Without the hope of a cure and with serious infection, my right leg will be amputated on Tuesday 7th October - This will be DAY 1 of getting my life back, getting back into the Rugby Chair and training hard for this years SuperSeries.

When i'm sat in that chair, no disability matters, I can push myself to be the best that I can be - When i'm on the Rugby Court, I am not disabled, I am free!

To be able to purchase my own chair will show me that dreams really do come true
