Donavan's Days Ahead

Donavan, my husband of almost 15 years and father of three girls - Anna (20), Brie (16) and Cloee (12) - has always been a hard-working man, providing for our family as best he could.

He has seldom ever taken a sick day from work and applies the same level of care to his clients that he provides to his family. Donavan works for a non-profit providing services to intellectually and developmentally disabled people. He is the operations manager, overseeing residential and vehicle maintenance.

Donavan had been slowly losing weight and started to have abdominal pains. He decided to go to the ER and during the course of a CT scan lesions were found on his pancreas and liver, and further tests confirmed the diagnosis that has turned our world upside down.

Donavan was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer 5 days before his 40th birthday.

Medical expenses are mounting rapidly, and his insurance has already reached its limits due to the initial hospital stay and tests and his insurance won't cover the chemotherapy at all.  These costs are very high.

We hope the chemotherapy and other treatment options can give Donavan the time to raise his little girls and continue to be the father they love and depend upon.

Donavan has not been working due to the symptoms of the cancer and the chemo.
