Hope and Healing for Jonathan

Hello my name is Shelby Derrick my son Jonathan needs your love support and prayers.  Thank you for visiting this donation page in honor of my son Jonathan.  He is thirty six years old, has been married for eight years and has two young boys, ages six and two.  He was diagnosed January of 2013 with stage four rectal cancer which has spread to his liver.  The doctors here couldn't do anything for him so he is being treated in New York at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Since July 2013 he has had multiple surgeries.  He is taking heavy chemo and radiation.  He goes to New York once a month for treatment which requires chemo to the heppa pump that treats his liver, which usually requires a night or two  of accommodations over night.  In July of 2014 the cancer spread to his chest and rib and has now gone to the brain.    The cancer takes away something from him each day but it will not take his spirit, his love for his family or his smile.  His days now usually consist of being sick and in pain, not able to play with his children, do his yard work, or any of the tasks that we take for granted each day, that he used to enjoy so much.  Together we can help by giving the gift of financial support and peace of mind so that he may continue to travel to New York and hopefully in the near future become cancer free.
