2-year old puppy deserves a chance!

Donation protected
Please don't let 2-year old Pepper be euthanized simply because she needs an operation and her human mom can't afford the cost of the surgery!!   Puppy Love (Union/Maplewood, NJ) in association with Furry Hearts Rescue (non-profit) appeal for help in saving an otherwise-healthy puppy.

Pepper is now in a foster home (thank you!) where she can be low active and recover - when she  has her procedure.

If Pepper doesn't  have the surgery soon, she will be paralized.  Pepper's heartbreaking story is below.

Peppers mom said, "...honestly I was just going to just put her down," because she is not hopeful that she will be able to get the help she needs before her situation gets worse (become paralyzed).

Pepper is a feisty, loving 2-year old Shih Tzu who doesn’t seem to realize that anything is wrong with her - that is, when she is on painkillers to mask the discomfort of 5 herniated/calcified lumbar discs in her spine.

Her owner knows that Pepper should have the help that she so desperately needs and deserves (which is the surgery)- but she just can't afford the up-to-$10,000. that is needed for the surgery and recovery.  So, her mom was going to have her euthenized.

Pepper deserves to get the surgery to live a long dog life - and the love, hugs, and kisses that all dogs should be showered with.  It's not Pepper's fault that she has back problems that affect both legs.  Pepper may have only a short time before her human mom makes the decision to "put her down" or before one wrong move paralyzes her.

Little 9-pound Pepper still has her playful spirit as well as bowel and bladder control, and deep pain sensation. While on the medication, she walks almost normally and even tries to run and jump and play.  But, she has been on crate rest since mid-February.  Please help Pepper -  Please donate any amount to literally save Pepper's life.

Thank you for reading about Pepper and for helping in any way possible to enable Pepper to get the medical procedures that she desperately needs. It means so much to allow her to live and to be pain-free.
