I am raising money for Central Florida Animal Reserve (CFAR - www.cflar.org) where I volunteer. We are a 100% volunteer-run and financed 100% by private donations. We get no outside funding from any government organizations.
We have 48 tigers, lions, cougars, and leopards, plus 3 civets, 2 coatimundis, and 2 genets. We are currently housed at a private residence. Brevard County has given us a deadline of August 2012 to relocate. We have found a new home, but we must start construction of the new compound by September 2011.
We need start-up funds of $300,000 by September and the rest soon after. If we do not raise the money in time, it is highly possible all of the cats will be put down.
