Passenger Train Advocate Trip

I am an advocate for passenger trains in the Pacific Northwest of the United States (pictured with FRA Administrator Joe Szabo).  I volunteer on two state committees whose task is to grow individual mobility and increased connectivity for Oregon's citizens and her visitors throughout the state, beyond the Portland-Eugene corridor. Additionally, I am one of two state members of the National Association of Railroad Passengers' Council of Delegates. Every two years, the world of railroading meets in Berlin, Germany, and I have been invited to attend special seminars there to advance our rail system instead of further private auto transportation. This work has a positive impact on our environment, the conservation of natural resources, and expanding our passenger train services across the nation. As a past president of the Association of Oregon Rail and Transit Advocates, I work in close cooperation with our sister colleagues in Washington State. Supplementing my personal funds, I am seeking additional financial support to make this year's trip possible. The product of this work will be enhanced safe, modern, comfortable, frequent passenger trains for everyone. Thank you for helping me with this project.
