CALLING ALL ANIMAL LOVERS:
UNITE TO HELP AN INNOCENT VICTIM OF THE HUMAN KIND!
For the last decade, Dr. Frederick (Rick) Lord, lovingly known as "Doc," was the resident veterinarian at the Sheboygan County Humane Society (SCHS). With over 45 years experience in the veterinary field, he is now on indefinite unpaid suspension from the facility.
The reason?
He discovered that the executive director, Eilene Ribbens, used his veterinary license to fraudulently order prescription drugs. Dr. Lord had no choice but to report Ribbens' actions to police, who, upon further investigation, charged her with felony and misdemeanor counts.
Shortly thereafter (March 21, 2013), Dr. Lord was escorted out of the Humane Society by SCHS Board President Sharron Quasius (Eilene's best friend) and Executive Director Eilene Ribbens on 'serious charges of misconduct' that he failed to break up a dog fight (charges that have clearly been proven invalid).
Doc remains on 'suspension' from the SCHS - without pay - and without a job. Ribbens has been convicted of unlawful possession of prescription drugs (misdemeanor), and a deferred prosecution agreement for the felony charge of delivery/possession/manufacture of prescription drugs.
As you can imagine, it's difficult when you are unfairly removed from your full-time job, and in turn, lose the income your family has relied on. In addition, it appears that the Lord's financial future will now include legal bills of an undetermined amount. We are asking you to consider helping Doc by donating to assist Dr. Lord and his family as they work to clear his name! Thank you for your kind consideration!
