Update: "It's my 94th birthday" Rabbi Alexander Milchtein received a phone call from "Yosef". He said "it's my 94th birthday today. I have no relatives here and no one to share this with. It's first year that I don't celebrate. I wanted at least to let you know." Every night, the children deliver latkes, candles and other food to the elderly. No one should feel alone at this time. We are now at the incredible moment of the darkness before the dawn.  G-d willing, the COVID-19 pandemic will become a distant memory with the recent development of a vaccine.   Every Chanukah in years past, we organized nightly celebrations.  The elderly sat together with their friends, reminisced about their childhood, and were spiritually uplifted.  Sadly, a public celebration is not realistic for this <a href="https://www.fox6now.com/news/family-run-food-pantry-figures-out-a-solution-to-continue-deliveries-to-those-afraid-of-going-out" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">high risk population</a>  and they continue to be hunkered down in their homes.  This year, our goal is to deliver this Chanukah experience to their apartments.  No one should go hungry or without this “human touch” Milwaukee Synagogue's food pantry is responding every day. Help us address the increased need during this pandemic by donating funds today especially during Chanukah.
