*This was suggested for Therapy for the whole family by Kalebs Social Worker* This is the first time we have EVER done anything like this and *ALL* Donations will go straight to the Cause**
** When Kalebs goal is met, We will pay it Forward to another cause of Kalebs choice. We will donate a % and will share the cause he chose with everyone**
On June 17, 2006 King Kaleb was born ectionVia Emergency C-S in San Diego, CA. To a Loving Mother, Father and an 8 yr old Big Brother. He was Born premature and was said to have ingested amniotic fluid and breathing was labored. He was placed in the NICU where he was exposed to spinal Meningitis. After TONS of specialists and 7 spinal taps, Finding infection and fluids on his brain, having seizures/Tremors and high fevers, It looked like he was getting better. He was place back with me for a few hrs and his breathing was quick and shallow and wisked away again to the NICU. He got better and was then place in the PICU.
When he did come home his Daddy, A United States Marine was deployed to Iraq for 9 months. After being home for 3 weeks Kaleb had a 103 temp and he was placed back in the NICU and again a spinal tap. He was Diagnosed with Spinal Meneningitis again. This time he stayed for a week.
*Since his birth Kaleb has suffered with ADHD tremors/seizures, Neurologic Problems, OCD, Anxiety, Severe weight loss, Having fevers often, A major underbite and facial deformity, Mood Mania due 5 diff meds he has been on, Autism Spectrum Disorder Scale, Has been to DUKE for an EEG and MRI, and places around here seeing specialist. We are waiting on the results of the Fragile X, Mutation, Genetic and Chromosone test. **UPDATE** The ABOVE testing came back showing no detected abnormalities. PRAISE THE LORD!
He is also going to be undergoing a Psychoanalysis to rule out some illnesses. **UPDATE** His test results came back he def is on The Autism Spectrum Scale. He will be working with an Occupational Therapist to work on social skills, His challenges with his Obbessive Compulsive and Body Image fixations. He will continue working with is Talk/Play therapist to work on social skills. In Dec we will be talking to his Ped Dentist on when and what is the best measure to correct his underbite.
*Kaleb turned 9 this year and His dream is 2 Go to Disney. We have not had a chance to really take him anywhere due to all the doc visits and medical bills etc.. and His Father also being ill. My King Kaleb is a fighter and has the most loving heart and he ALWAYS thinks about other ppls needs before his own.
