A little help goes along way

Recently my brother Aran was in a severe accident helping out with carpentry. His hand got caught in the blade of the table saw and severed his thumb. He was air lifted from Maine Med to Mass General for emergency surgery. He went through seven grueling hours of surgery. They amputated his thumb and index finger, they rebuilt both fingers and his pinky along with rebuilding his nerves and tendons. Following the surgery on his hand. Aran found out he would need a procedure done to his knee. From when the wood backfired from the table saw and punctured his knee. The procedure was another 3 hours. In all he went through 10 hours of surgery in the space of 12 hours of being in Mass General. His body went through a lot of trauma .It will take up to two years till Aran's hand is back to normal again. He will also be out of work for a while and has a visiting nurse coming daily to take care of him.

I normally would never start a fund like this. My family is very proud and stubborn but for those of you who know Aran. He has a big heart, is always smiling and would take his shirt off his back for others. He is constantly active with hiking, traveling and his passion for soccer and skateboarding is unbelievable.

Aran will be set back quite a lot and we all know insurance only covers so much. I didn't really know what to enter for a goal but he will be set back $50,000 at the minimum and a little help goes a long way. Whether it is $5 to whatever you wish to donate. It still helps toward medical bills and his rehab.
