WHAT HAPPENED?
23-year-old Destiney Julian is in the fight of her life against the Aussie Flu (H3N2 Virus).
She first fell ill while celebrating Christmas and New Years with friends in Wales. Due to health complications caused by the H3N2 Virus—as well as a severe case of Pneumococcal Pneumonia—she was admitted to the ER in Wales and later transferred to the ICU at the Royal Brompton Hospital in London (the largest heart and lung medical center in the UK).
Destiney is currently on a Ventilator and ECMO Machine (used on patients suffering from severe respiratory failure), and is under heavy sedation.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
Destiney has been in the ICU for over one week now and while her doctors say she is making small strides everyday, it will take time and the support of her family and friends for her to make a full recovery.
The money donated will help Destiney and her family during her recovery process in London, as well as aid in her recovery when she's healthy enough to return home to California.

Destiney was born and raised in Delano, CA and is the second youngest of five children. Both of her parents work in the education system. She completed her Bachelor's degree at San Diego State University where she majored in Liberal Studies and Primary School Education.
Her passion for helping others, traveling, and working with children led her to teach overseas for the past 2 years. She has been teaching in Murcia, Spain since September of 2017.
