  Desperately needed Surgery - Transportation and Care!! This young mother and wife needs life saving surgery - her Insurance company will NOT cover it!!!  In 2005 my sweet friend Kim had Brain surgery due to Chiari Malformation.  The surgery costs sky rocketed towards $1million Dollars.....since that surgery she has been in intense pain and has slowly declined in health. She has been confined to a wheelchair for the past year due to neuropathy in her legs. Her legs are no longer responding to touch or reflexes. She has been experiencing leakage of spinal fluid which has been leaking out of her nose and eyes when she bends over. She has indured 4 spinal taps and her spinal fluid levels are so low that the fluids can not be measured. Kim has now  been told by her Doctors that she must have additional surgery and the surgery needs to be done at the Chiari Institute which is in New York or Colorado and the INSURANCE COMPANY WILL NOT COVER IT!!!!! This surgery will consist of a dura patch repair.  The "dura" is the lining around your brain that contains the fluid. Without this fluid, your brain is unable to think and communicate. PLEASE - PLEASE help us get this young lady to the Institute that can help her.  This is an amazing family - they have never given up hope or their faith in the Lord.  No family should have to go through what they have endured for the past few years.
