Dennis (Big D) Gray was recently hospitilized for a sensation in his chest that he has never expericened before in his life. The result lead to an open heart surgery on 11/29/2017.
The surgery was successfull and D is in the beginning of an uphill climb to recovery. Recovery will be a lengthy process and will affect his ability to work and do the things he loves.
Dennis has been a carpenter for over 20 years. His work has shaped and finished many structures in the flathead valley and various other areas in Montana. Recently Dennis was a key player in the construction of the Bloc Yard Bouldering Gym in Spokane Washington.
In addition to being a craftsman, D is an avid hiker, mountian climber, and the dude knows how to find his way to the gym. He has hiked many of Glacier Parks trails and has summited several mountians in Montana. Dennis also held a state record in weight lifting for bench press for his age age and weight class (something ridiculous like 315 pounds at 52 years old weighing 215). Physical fitness has always been a large part of Big D's life.
Dennis has been married for 27 years to Jackie Gray. Their daughter Genna is currently attending Montana State University in pursuit of a degree in the biology department.
Dennis is appreciative of the outpouring support of his family and friends. As we all know medical costs are expensive. The recovery time on an open heart procedure will take a minimum of several months. D's occupation is very physically demanding and the recovery process will leave him unable to work. This fund is designed to aid Dennis and his family with medical bills and cost of living. Any help is greatly appreciated!
