Denis' Journey

Donation protected

My name is Ava. I am Aislin's mom.
This is the story of Aislin & Denis' journey together.

18 months ago, Aislin was a 47 year old divorced mom struggling to raise two beautiful boys on the Autism Spectrum and Denis was a 58 year old executive in the process of going through a divorce when they met and fell in love.

They were the perfect fit. Totally in love and dedicated to each other and enjoying making plans for the future and spending the rest of their lives growing old together.

The boys grew to love Denis and the amazing changes that took place with them through his caring and love was amazing to see.

Denis had dreams. He wanted to take Aislin and the boys to France to see the home where he was born. He loved to ride his bicycle and wanted to ride 50 miles one day. He wanted to take the boys camping and had planned a trip to Disney with them for this summer.

In October of 2014 after over 13 years with his company, Denis was laid off and he was worried that at his age it would be difficult to find new employment. Luckly in February, he was hired part time as a consultant and the future was beginning to look bright again. Then suddenly in April they got the devasting news that Denis had inoperable, terminal brain cancer.

No longer able to work, they are now trying to prepare themselves and the boys for what is to come several months from now.

Denis is a fighter and is not yet willing to give up the battle. Because there is no longer income coming in they are going to need help in covering his continuing care. He will need to pay for any medical treatments and prescriptions not covered under insurance, and also pay his monthly bills. They will also need to change the bathroom tub over to a walk in shower and install a chair stair lift so that he will be able to remain home with them.

And finally, they will need funds to lay him to rest when his struggle is over.

Any donation, no matter how small will help and will be accepted with love and gratitude from a community of people who understand the need to be there for each other when the need arises.  Please share this with all of your friends.

Thanking you all in advance,
Ava
