Most days it seems we spend more time with our work family than we do with our immediate family. So when our fellow co-worker is faced with a traumatic life changing event we all feel the pain and gather to lift up our fellow brother or sister. We at Safelite believe that we exist to make a difference and bring unexpected happiness to peoples everyday lives. We now are faced with the opportunity to do just that for one of our own.
The son of our co-worker was taken away from his family on Friday, March 30th. Deion Knerr was walking and struck by a vehicle the morning of March 30th and transported to a local hospital where they did their best to save his life. After spending the day in the ICU Deion quietly passed that evening. He is survived by his parents, Craig and Joni Knerr, younger sister, “Sis”, Alexis Knerr and little bro “Jacko”, Jackson Knerr, all of Middletown. Also survived by his grandparents and loving Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and a few very good friends.
Deion will be remembered for his huge heart, sense of humor, being a good friend, his love for the simple things in life and most of all, as the proud big brother and a good young man.
Craig and Joni are now faced with funeral and mounting medical expenses. This in conjunction with the most important task of personal healing and how to create a new normal for Deion’s younger sister and brother.
