Medical Bills for Deana Thomas

Deana Kelley Thomas is one of those rare people you can only hope to meet in your lifetime. She will give you everything she has and even then will still find a way to give you more. I met Deana three years ago when I started dating my boyfriend, her son Jonny Thomas. When I met Jonny, I wondered how someone could be so kind, caring and generous and then I met his mother and it all made sense. I could tell the moment I met her that she was a very special woman. Her goodness kind of radiates out of her, you can feel it as soon as you meet her. She welcomed me (and my daughter) with open arms, no questions asked. I immediately became part of the family. She became my "other mother" and she became my daughter's "Dede". Recently, Deana started feeling sick more and more often and finally went to the hospital. After over a month of tests, needles, and pain, she was diagnosed with a rare blood disease along with extensive liver damage. She was immediately placed on the transplant list. As we wait for that life-changing phone call, the medical bills and stress continue to pile up around Deana and her husband Michael. Michael is a devoted preacher, father, grandfather and husband and is struggling to maintain his hectic life all while trying to be there and support Deana. To see such a kind and beautiful woman in such pain and sadness breaks my heart. My hope in all this is that we can help lighten their financial load, even just a little, and show these two how much we care and how much they're loved. It's the least we can do for all that they have done for so many. I ask for your help, even the smallest donation, so that maybe we can bring a little bit of light back into Deana's life and bring back that smile that we know and love.
