Declan was a boy full of life and wonder.  He was the center of attention in a household filled with unconditional love and family support.  This angel was born five years ago with a rare congential disorder called Cornelia de Lange Syndrome (CdLS), but his abilities and the joy he brought to his family and others outshown any outward disability.  He was experiencing life, doing well in his therapies, and other than routine daily cares at home, a happy and growing boy! He was deeply loved by his single mom Jenni, his sister Madison, and brother Easton.  They recently moved in with her sister Kat and her family to help with the cost of living, medical expenses, and to allow Jenni to attend fulltime classes to pursue a nursing degree.  Jenni has not been able to work at this time in order to balance school, Declan's care, and family. In addition to the stress as a single mom, they are also coping with Jenni's own mother who is recently diagnosed with ALS and struggling with her rapidly declining health. Two years ago, Jenni's sister Elizabeth also died suddenly in a fatal car accident leaving behind three adorable young boys who Kat and Jenni also now care for in their busy home. Due to these unfortunate circumstances, between the Presmyks and Kat Jenkins family there were nine children being loved, cared for, and supported in this amazing home. Needless to say, it has been a very challenging two years of deep emotions, financial strains, and hardship on many levels for these families.

This Christmas morning was awakened with great sorrow to find that Declan had died peacefully in his sleep after a brief episode of strep throat the previous evening. The unexpected shock and grief to find such tragedy on a day that should be celebrated and filled with joy, cannot be spoken
without tears...it will indeed be a silent night for everyone who knows Jenni, her family, and the incredible loss they have experienced with Declan passing in their home on Christmas Day.  He truly is a Christmas Angel and will be watching over us in his perfect way.

ANY donation, big or small, will be greatly appreciated to go towards Declan's memorial service and costs, family support, and continued cost of living for Jenni and her extended family.  Emotionally this family is devastated with the amount of tragedy and pain they have endured the past few years...they will all need time, support, and prayers to recover and heal.  Jenni would love to complete her nursing program in the next two years to be able to support her family, purchase her own home someday, and  create a new future and memories for her family.  Your donation and support for this mission will give the Presmyk Family a Christmas gift of generosity, love, and support and take away some of the financial burden that will linger long after today. Declan had outstanding medical bills for his care and was unable to be insured because of his congenital condition with CdLS. The greatest gift of all would be to honor little Declan and the special joy he brought to everyone who had the pleasure of knowing this special child.  Thank you for being You Declan...we will miss you always.  Thank you Jenni, Madison, and Easton, for sharing this Christmas Angel with us.
