Debra Jarvis Funeral Expenses

Donation protected
Debra Lynne Jarvis passed away Friday March 2, 2018. She left behind no biological children but a multitude of friends and godchildren. The nursing home was flooded with friends visiting her right up until her passing.

Debra had been battling liver disease problems for many many years, but had beat the odds and lived well beyond what was ever expected. So many have expressed a desire to help, that I created this page so that  you may do so. We would like to give Debbie a proper burial along side her family. Due to medical problems and complications, Debra was unable to put aside funds needed for funeral expenses. Trying to make things as easy as possible for me, her friend who would take care of things in her absence, she left me an entire program for the funeral. It will be just as she wished except we need funds to be able to bury the remains. We are at the mercy of friends to contribute quickly so that we can present to the funeral home the costs required and they will allow us to take her remains and bury them. We will have a service in the next few weeks to celebrate Debbie's life. She was a good friend to many, never forgetting a friends likes/dislikes.  Though very private, she always wanted to hear how other people were doing.
Debbie was born in Warwick County, now Newport News, to Helen Virginia TrainerJarvis and John Simpson Jarvis. She has one sister, Renee' Hancock and a neice and nephew. She graduated from Ferguson High, attended college at Thomas Nelson, and Friendship Institute of Theology. She was constantly doing volunteer work for several churches, First United Methodist in Hilton, and Church of the Nazerene, and Trinity Lutheran Church. She was also involved in churches in Maine where she visited often. She was active in the Order of the Eastern Star, Pocahontas Chapter 103, and duel member of Primrose Chapter 152. She belonged for many years to the Daughters of the Confederacy.
She left a note for her obituary that said her many friends brought her joy. Anything contribution you can make is most appreciated.
