Hello beautiful friends and family,
I have recently had the opportunity to begin my first professional music recording experience. The songs I am recording are beautiful, powerful, healing and all about love, evolution and humanity. They were written by the amazing musician/songwriter Michael Benhayon, to whom I offer my heart-felt thanks for the gift of these songs and the blessing of working with me on them. The quality of these recordings is not only about being beautiful to listen to with our ears, and meaningful to understanding the message of the lyrics, but also felt in the energetic quality of the songs and the recording of them, which always must come back to the quality of how the artist is choosing to live day to day.
This recording project kind of 'fell in my lap' when my friend Greg heard me play and offered to gift me with studio time, and to be produced by Matt Fink of Star Vu Studio, for which I am deeply appreciative. Matt, otherwise known as Dr. Fink - the former keyboardist for Prince and the Revolution - is an amazing musician and producer whom I love working with. I got to record two songs with him and it was a super fun, creative experience - and the songs sound freakin' amazing. So now I want to continue to work with him to record another 3-4 songs - making a total of 5-6 songs which is enough material for an EP......and then get a little airplay!
So here I am, fundraising the money to cover:
Studio time
Production
Session musician fees
Song clearance fees
6-months of music distribution fees with CDBaby
cover/packaging design

If money is raised above my goal, I will continue to record a full CD, rather than an EP, and although the little video I made here is cute, I would also love to put funds towards the cost of producing a professional music video.
