Deb Park's Medical Expenses

Deb Parks has cancer, but cancer doesn't have her.   

Deb Parks was diagnosed with ovarian cancer earlier this year, and has been undergoing various treatments, including multiple surgeries, since that time.  She completed her chemotherapy rounds in July, and is slowly but surely regaining her strength, and with it, her capacity to work.  However, despite her best efforts, the cancer itself and the exhausting and toxic treatment regimin she's undergone over the last 6 months has made keeping a regular work schedule all-but-impossible.  Thus, we've decided to create a "go fund me" for her, to help her get her financial footing back and give her a little respite from the constant worry of financial stress.

Here's the great news!  As most of you know, Deb's not only a horse whisperer and dog-fancier extraordinaire, she's also an extremely-talented photographer.  So - we've set this "go fund me" up to provide "rewards" for your contributions.  (If you know Deb, you know she's much more comfortable with giving that receiving... this was our compromise, before she would let me set this up!)  She also asked me to tell you that you'll have her "(hopefully) undying gratitude..."  :) 

One final note: 

This may come as a suprise to many of you, but Deb has had cancer once before.   I know I was sure shocked, when she told me! You see, I (Tove, the organizer of this event) underwent treatment for breast cancer in 2013, and was quite public about it.  Deb provided much-needed emotional support to me during that time, with kind words, nice visits, and much sharing of silly facebook memes... but never once told me she was also undergoing the same treatments I was, AT THE SAME TIME.  In fact, we even finished radiation on the SAME DAY.  But never a word.  In a nutshell, that's Deb. 

I'll virtually guarantee that everyone who visits this page has a similar "Deb story" of kindness and compassion.  My hope is, we can all take this opportunity to provide her with the support she's given so freely to so many of us .
