David's Lung Transplant

Hello, This is my father-in-law David. He was diagnosed with an aggressive lung disease in 2010 called, Pulmonary Fibrosis. What is it you ask? It's a chronic disease that causes swelling and scarring in the lungs. The scar tissue replaces healthy tissue and causes inflammation. This damage causes your lungs to stiffen and makes breathing more and more difficult. There is no known cure for it, just treatments that may or may not slow down the process. In the last year it has progressed rapidly, despite the treatments he's received. So we took the next step, we applied for a lung transplant. After much testing and WAITING, we found out July 25th, 2014, that we need to be in Toronto ASAP for further testing and to be put on the waiting list! We will need be ready for when the new lungs arrive. So now we're moving into an apartment in Toronto (August 5th,2014) near the hospital. We will be paying rent for the apartment on top of our mortgage payments in Leamington, and the cost of living in Toronto is incredibly expensive. There is a LONG list of costly medication, vitamins, and nutrient supplements he will need but most costly of them all is by far the anti-rejection medication he will need to take for the rest of his life, after the surgery. It will cost Between $4000-$6000 per month. We've been informed that insurance will only be covering a small portion of this. So the rest we will have to cover. We're not sure how we will cover all of these expenses that come along with this surgery, but we trust God, and know that he will provide.
