David's Road to Recovery

Donation protected

If you know David Bidner, then there is a good chance he has blessed your life immensely. He is a man on a mission to impact this world for the better. Simply put, we need more David Bidner's to make this world a better place, so we have to make sure we support David in this time. I'm a better person for knowing David, and so is everyone who knows him. This man spends a lot of his life serving others selflessly and has one of the biggest hearts I've ever seen. I worked with him at 24 Hour Fitness and I knew right away this guy was wired different, that he really cared about people, his job, and serving others.

7 days ago David was admitted to the ER and was hospitalized after going through liver and kidney failure, thus needing an emergency liver transplant. It was there that the doctors discovered he had Wilsons disease, a rare inhereted genetic disorder that causes copper to accumulate in the liver, brain, and other vital organs, potentially to a life threatening level. In David's case, he didn't know he had Wilsons disease since he was adopted so the disease got to the point of almost killing him. After months of being tired and weak, David's body finally gave out. As soon as he got admitted to the hospital, he was pushed up to #1 on the donor list and within the hour he was in the operating room with the transplant procedure. Basically, if this didn't happen right away, David would not be with us right now so thank you to the medical staff at UW for taking care of him.

David is not out of the clear yet as the doctors at UW Medical tell him he has a long and complicated road to recovery.

This guy obviously works out, and his passion in fitness and physical therapy have helped many people. His own fitness journey will have to start over as the doctors say he can't lift more than 10 lbs for a year or two depending on the recovery. He's basically starting from the beginning again. The doctors don't have a timeline for when they will discharge him from the hospital but once they do, he will need to be monitored in-home care 24/7 for 3 months, which will be costly.

The Doctors also say that he needs to spend the next year to two resting and recovering. So he won't be able to work or continue school while he is recovering, his body simply can't. So the medical bills and expenses will be piling up with no income coming in.This is where he needs OUR help!!! This is where we can shoulder some of the burden and help this man make the best damn comeback he can, so he can keep making this world a better place.

The last thing David should worry and stress about during this time is finances and logistics. This is the opportunity we get as his support system to come together, lock arms, and help this amazing man through this time.  If you are able to help in ANY way, not just financially, but through prayers, visits, messages, phone calls, anything that will help him through this tough time would be appreciated. You can contact me directly if interested.

All the funds and proceeds will go directly to David's medical expense and road to recovery until he makes this difficult comeback.

My life has been changed by this man, as well as many others, and I still have a lot of life to do with him. Impacting this world together. So please help me in supporting him through this tough time. ANYTHING is appreciated. Thank you in advance for your support, well wishes, and assistance. It is more than appreciated and I know David will pay it forward in the future and get through this season with the help and support of family, friends, and loved ones.
