David Glatter's Medical Fund

Our brother, uncle and friend, David Glatter, suffered life threatening injuries while driving a four-wheeler on the family farm near Amherst, Nebraska on August 9, 2017. There was a collision between his four-wheeler and a pickup. He sustained severe damage to his pelvis, left leg, ribs, liver and also had a collapsed lung. He had his leg amputated just below the knee, and also required a delicate and extensive surgery to repair his pelvis. He is expected to be in the hospital for two to four weeks.

For those that know and love David, and those who may not know him yet, he is one of the most kind and caring of people. He is a remarkable and loving family man and a reliable friend to the community.

David is an avid guitar and piano player, singer and entertainer. He brings joy to everyone that encounters him! He is always putting others first, whether it is helping out on a neighbor’s farm, leading others in singing in church services, or immediately lending a helping hand wherever he sees a need.

We are asking for the family and friends of the Glatter family to gather around David! There are numerous expenses that will come with the initial costs of surgery and the hospital stay that comes with the severity of these injuries; as well as the next steps in David’s journey to recovery. There is also the added financial burden of staying at the hospital and taking time off from work on the farm.

David is not the type to ask for hand-outs. As friends and family, however, we want to help out in any way we can! This GoFundMe is being set up to help alleviate some of the medical expenses this new challenge entails.
