Help David Become Associate Staff!

Hey Guys!

I am very pleased to announce that I have not only completed my second year of DLA, but that I have also been asked to stay for a third year as associate staff! I am still in awe at not only how quickly these two years have flown by, but also at the things that God has done in this period of time.

Jeremiah 17:7-8 says, “Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.” This verse was given to me as a life verse during my first year in DLA. The Lord confirmed this many, many times throughout the year. But why? It was a mystery. However, towards the very middle of my second year, DLA went through a period of transition. In a span of three weeks, every single staff member left, and it was up to us second and third year students to take upon the yoke that leadership left behind - To not only lead and disciple the first year students, but to, in many ways, run the program as well. In the world of DLA, this, right here, was the year of drought. And, though this time was incredibly difficult and unsettling for me, I knew what I needed to do. I knew that I needed to place my trust in the Lord. And so I did. And, after placing my trust in the Lord and choosing not to worry, the Lord equipped me to do what I was supposed to do in this time. Seeing the Lord’s faithfulness through this time of drought grew me more than anything else could. I learned a very valuable life lesson from this year - That the Lord is constant, that He never changes, and that I can trust him through literally anything and everything.

With that being said, I am now trusting in the Lord’s faithfulness in another area of my life - My finances. As I said before, I have been asked to stay for yet another year in DLA, now as associate staff. This is a huge opportunity for me, and I feel so strongly that this is where the Lord wants me! However, for this to happen, I must pay off my remaining tuition balance of $2,200 by August 1st. This number may seem huge, but if I can get 22 people to donate $100, I can accomplish this!

Please prayerfully consider investing in me by helping me reach my goal!
