Memorial Bench for Ben Darneille

The Interlochen Arts Academy class of 2012 lost a beloved member of our class in August of 2015. Ben Darnielle, was an accomplished musician and avid bicyclist. At the time of his death, Ben had just wrapped up a summer at the Aspen Music Festival on a fellowship with the Rendezvous Brass Quintet. Ben was a student at DePaul University.
The IAA class of 2012 and friends of colleagues of Ben during his time at IAA would like to create and dedicate a bench for him on the Interlochen campus by the shore of Green Lake. This was a favorite spot of Ben's where he would go to practice to welcome in Spring.
We are raising funds to design and build the bench as well as to raise funds for the dedication in which we will sponsor Ben's family.
