Darian "Rundawg" Memorial Fund

UPDATE: The kids have now had their father cremated and have done the Celebration of Life Service! They now have the journey of traveling back to Florida and keeping their fathers stuff in storage until they can make time to return to VA to go through everything.  They have missed multiple weeks of work and school. My daughter has missed too many days to where she had to be dropped and now has to re-register and pay for her course again.
Their father had been laid off and not working for a few years and the kids have nothing but out of pocket expenses. Noone knew he was ill... Their father was rushed to the ER on a Friday,  his condition was so fair that he was immediately put on a ventilator... we never imagined this would be how everyone would see him for the last time! 

The entire family is doing everything they can to help, love and support them both the best we all possibly can. Please donate any amount to help them get through this horrible unexpected devastating loss these 2 wonderful young adults have endured.. they both are just starting life on their own! 


Darian "Rundawg" Runyon was loved by all who were blessed to come in contact with him. Though he had been through so much in his life, you would have never been able to tell by the way he brought a laugh and a smile to every situation. His bright spirit was contagious, and none of our lives will be the same without him. 

We sincerely thank EVERYONE for the prayers and outpouring support.  Thank you to those who have offered to help in any way they can.

 

During this difficult time, we have learned that there is nothing in place to assist with the large burden of funeral costs.

 

The loss of a parent at the young age of 44 is devastating not only for the kids, but the entire family.  Jarian and Jaleen have had to travel from Florida to Virginia, and put EVERYTHING on hold to wrap up any final affairs.  As a mother, you never want to witness the heartache and pain your 23- and 20-year old have to make for their loving father!! I witnessed my son's strength as he stood at the foot of his father's bed, gathering the words and strength to call his baby sister and tell her the heartbreaking news.  As we stood outside the ER Jarian asked, What do I do to bury my father?  Where do I get the money?  The heartbreak is unbearable and the stress seen in his eyes is devastating.  My son, at 23 years old, has already had to climb a huge mountain with all his strength to deliver the unfathomable news to the family!  I don't want the kids to have to worry or stress about the what-ifs or how.  

 

Now is the time and need for family, friends, loved ones, and community support.  For those that ask, what can we do?  How can we help?  In lieu of flowers, monetary donations can be made to assist with funeral and service costs.  It would greatly help ease the burden of the Runyon family during this most difficult time.  Absolutely anything helps!

 

We want to thank you all again for the prayers and support.  Without your generosity and love, it would be so much harder for all of us to cope.
