Help Darc Marc Achieve Dream

Donation protected
Marc was in a tragic accident back in 2001.  He was hit in the face with a blowdart and ended up in a comma after flat-lining three times.  At best, doctors thought he would be a vegetable.  His case is still an on-going study, doctors having no idea what poison he was injected with.

Upon waking from his comma, Marc had to relearn how to do everything... Walk, talk, basic spelling, basic math, and he had no short-term memory.  With much time, everything improved.  He went back to his profession, but was unable to continue the work.  The passion he had once felt was no longer there.

Marc ended up going through vocational rehabilitation to go back to school and learn a new profession.  The program decided that computer-aided drafting might be a good fit for him.  Upon his second semester at the college, they had enrolled him by mistake in classes that were at a much higher level than where he was supposed to be.  Confused, and still learning some of the basics, he was completely frustrated.

Marc ended up meeting a woman that saw some of his drawings.  He had always had an artist knack, but his abilities became even greater after the accident.  She asked him to consider signing up for her accredited tattoo school (Hot Rod Betties in Oregon) where he could apply his art to learn a new profession.  Upon talking to the Voc Rehab department, they agreed that it could be a good fit.  Through attending the state licensed accredited tattoo school, Marc became well-educated in the new industry, even learning as much as a dermatologist about skin, including diseases, depths, layers, conditions, and more.  He found a new passion through his art and being able to help others to preserve treasured memories of special moments, events, ideas, concepts, individual preferences, and loved ones.

Over the years, he's continued to refine his art and expand on his abilities.  Marc is continually learning new methods, styles, and staying up to date on what his clients prefer in their chosen art.   The last several years he's had a dream of opening up his own shop and has built excellent working relationships with suppliers, local business owners, and a great clientele base from all over the world.

Well the timing couldn't be any better.  There is an opportunity to purchase a local established shop and for Marc to fulfill his dream of owning and running one of his own.  He's already had experience managing and running the shop and is ready for this next step.  However, this opportunity is on a very limited opening.   We are reaching out to friends, family, supporters, and anyone that could possibly be interested in helping Marc achieve his dream.   The hard work won't stop once this is achieved, but will transition into a new journey that will help fellow artists, provide a more controlled environment, and allow him to take this next long-awaited step.

If you've ever had a big dream, you know how both scary and exciting it is to see the possiblity very close to fruition.  Over the years, we've all realized that dreams couldn't be fulfilled without the community support,  locally, nationally, and abroad.    Thank you all for taking the time to read Marc's story, donate if you are able to, and share with as many as you can to help Marc reach this amazing goal!

No amount is too much or too little... Every single dollar will help! Thank you to everyone that's helped Marc turn his passion into a career & now helping to turn his career into fulfilling his dream to own his own shop!
