Dan's Stem Cell Transplant

Donation protected
In April 2013, upon returning from his 30th birthday celebration in Mexico, Dan's life began to change drastically. He began to experience numbness in his limbs that began to spread daily. This numbness progressed to muscle atrophy and borderline paralysis in his entire body. By May Dan was diagnosed with a rare neurological disease called CIDP. To this day Dan lives with a small range of motion and needs constant assistance from family and friends in his day to day life. Although many treatments have been attempted, none have been successful in returning him to the quality of life he once enjoyed. Gone are the days of surfing, skateboarding, walking his dogs, or enjoying a stroll with his lovely girlfriend Daniela.

Despite the trying times of the past year , Dan has recently been bestowed with a hopeful opportunity. He visited Northwestern University in Chicago to be considered for a clinical trial for a Stem Cell Transplant. The trial is not only competitive but expensive. Shortly after his visit Dan found he had been accepted! His friends and family refuse to give up hope and need your help to pay for out of pocket costs. Travel to and from Chicago, in home care, and accommodations in addition to that are endless. Any amount of a donation would help and Dan and his family would be forever grateful. Thank you for taking the time to visit our page and read Dan's story.
