Medical Ships, Papua New Guinea

Hi friends,
From February 23 - April 1, 2018 I will be volunteering on a medical mission with the Christian non-profit organization, Youth With A Mission (YWAM), to provide health care to underprivileged people in Papua New Guinea.
PNG is a nation with over 7 million people, many of which are living in remote and isolated areas, where it is difficult to attain access to medical care, let alone afford it. We will be staying on a ship, full of healthcare professionals and medical equipment, and sailing to various remote villages to provide free medical assistance to anyone in need. Some of the services that our team will provide include eye exams, distribution of prescription glasses, oral health examinations, surgeries, testing and treatment for tuberculosis and malaria, health education seminars and prenatal care for mothers. My personal role will involve providing physical therapy care to those in need.
I am hoping to raise $2,000 to cover the cost of the trip, including room and board on the ship, flights between Australia and PNG, transportation, insurance, field supplies, meals, and other necessary resources. By supporting me on this journey, you are partnering with me to change lives in Papua New Guinea. I have no doubt that it will be a lifechanging experience for me as well.
As you can see in the attached videos, there is great need in PNG, and YWAM is making an amazing impact through the Medical Ships. Any donation amount is soooo appreciated, and if you cannot support financially, I would love as much prayer as I can get!
